Text saying 'The Trof'

Pub & Dining Room

Since 2006, 8 Thomas Street has been home to Trof, a Northern Quarter staple and a place that feels as though it’s always been here.

Downstairs, it’s a proper pub - good beer, fresh bar snacks, and beaming smiles. The kind of place you pop in for one and stay for three.

Upstairs, the Dining Room is an intimate, cosy space filled with conversation and the clink of glasses. Seasonal dishes, quality local produce, European wines and classic cocktails — all served in a space made for long dinners and longer conversations.

At our core, The Trof is about good food, good drinks and good company. Come for a pint, stay for dinner, leave planning your next visit.

Who We Are

A dinner table with a lit candle, water glasses, and napkins in a restaurant with large windows, brick walls, and hanging lights.
Person holding a white plate with a large burger topped with sesame seed bun, cheese, sauce, and other ingredients, in a dark setting.
Close-up of a person pulling a beer tap labeled 'Jaipur' on a bar counter, with a blurred background.
A cozy corner features a round wooden table with a piece of paper and a coaster on it. Surrounding the table are two wooden stools with red cushioned seats. Behind the table, there's a black leather couch with a textured, reddish-brown wall to the left and a window in the background.

“Really friendly and helpful service. Portions for the roast were generous and the food was really tasty. Trof is one of my favourite vibes in town so I'll definitely be back for food again.”
